Terms of Service

Last updated:

These Terms govern your access to and use of Armoreal's website, accounts, controlled demonstrations, evaluations, pilots, identity-protection tools, and related services.

1.

Agreement and eligibility

These Terms are an agreement between you and Armoreal ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, accepting these Terms through an interface, or using the services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

  • You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to hold an account.
  • If you use the services for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and 'you' includes the organization.
  • Accounts are intended for adults. A minor may participate in a verification only when a parent, guardian, or other legally authorized person has provided any permission required by law.
2.

Service overview

Armoreal provides identity-protection tools intended to help organizations strengthen trust around sensitive digital interactions, identity-based actions, approvals, and transactions. The services may include account tools, protected workflows, verification or authorization functionality, status reporting, controlled demonstrations, integration resources, and related review features.

The services are designed to support identity protection and decision-making within an organization's broader security, fraud-prevention, trust, and safety controls. They do not determine a person's creditworthiness, eligibility, character, or general trustworthiness.

3.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for your account and must:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete account information.
  • Protect your credentials, invite codes, protected links, and account access, and do not share them with unauthorized people.
  • Use only the role and permissions assigned to you.
  • Keep administrator and manager access limited to authorized people.
  • Promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access, compromised credentials, or misuse.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our breach of these Terms or applicable law.

4.

Content and permissions

You retain ownership of photographs, prompts, labels, messages, data, and other content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive right to host, process, transmit, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, administer, and improve the reliability of the services or comply with law.

When submitting content or initiating a protected workflow, you represent that:

  • You have the rights, authority, permissions, and lawful basis needed to submit the content and request the applicable service.
  • You have provided all notices and obtained all consents or authorizations required for personal, biometric, sensitive, or other regulated information.
  • Information submitted about another person is being used only for a lawful, authorized purpose and not to impersonate, track, exploit, deceive, or harm that person.
  • Your instructions, prompts, labels, and requested actions are accurate and not misleading.

Our handling of personal, biometric, and other sensitive information is described in the Privacy Policy. These Terms do not replace any separate notice, consent, data processing agreement, or other requirement imposed by applicable law.

5.

Acceptable use

You may use the services only for lawful, authorized purposes. You may not:

  • Impersonate, deceive, exploit, threaten, harass, discriminate against, or harm another person.
  • Submit another person's information without appropriate authority, notice, and permission.
  • Facilitate fraud, identity misuse, unauthorized surveillance, or other unlawful activity.
  • Misrepresent, alter, suppress, or misuse a verification result or service communication.
  • Use a result as the sole basis for employment, housing, credit, insurance, healthcare, or another decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to an account, system, network, data, or service.
  • Interfere with, overload, disrupt, or compromise the operation or security of the services.
  • Introduce malware, harmful code, automated attacks, or unauthorized testing.
  • Scrape, copy, reverse engineer, decompile, decode, or attempt to discover nonpublic software, models, logic, methods, or technology, except where applicable law prohibits this restriction.
  • Circumvent access restrictions, rate limits, verification limits, security controls, or protective measures.
  • Share, publish, reproduce, distribute, or disclose nonpublic demonstrations, client materials, documentation, screenshots, workflows, or other restricted content except as expressly authorized.
  • Use the services or their outputs to develop, train, benchmark, or improve a competing product without our written permission.

Security research, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment require our prior written authorization.

6.

Pilots and availability

Features offered as demonstrations, simulations, prototypes, pilots, previews, beta services, or early access may be incomplete, contain errors, use sample or modeled information, or change without notice. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, they are for evaluation and are not intended to support critical or production decisions.

  • We may add, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue features for security, legal, operational, maintenance, or business reasons.
  • We may establish or change access conditions, eligibility requirements, and reasonable usage limits.
  • We do not guarantee that any feature will become generally available or that the services will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
7.

Results and responsibility

Identity-verification, authorization, fraud-prevention, and security technologies may produce false positives, false negatives, unavailable results, or errors. No security or identity service can prevent or detect every attack, misuse, impersonation, or fraudulent event.

Demonstrations, simulations, savings estimates, protected-exposure calculations, scenario comparisons, and other modeled outputs are illustrative only. They are not guarantees, predictions, or representations that any specific fraud, loss, incident, or outcome would have been prevented.

You remain responsible for:

  • Reviewing results in context and applying appropriate human oversight and existing controls.
  • Deciding whether to approve, deny, delay, or investigate an action.
  • Testing whether the services are appropriate for your use case, users, workflows, integrations, and risk thresholds.
  • Meeting your legal, regulatory, accessibility, recordkeeping, and industry obligations.
  • Ensuring that your descriptions of the services and their accuracy are truthful and not misleading.

The services do not provide legal, financial, medical, regulatory, law-enforcement, or other professional advice, and they do not provide a consumer report.

8.

Intellectual property and feedback

We and our licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the services, including associated software, designs, documentation, trademarks, models, methods, workflows, interfaces, demonstrations, integration materials, and technology. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the services and materials made available to you for their authorized purpose.

Access to invitation-only, demonstration, client, or other restricted areas does not grant any ownership right or license to copy, disclose, distribute, reverse engineer, commercialize, or otherwise use nonpublic materials except as expressly permitted by us or a separate written agreement.

You may voluntarily provide suggestions or feedback. You grant us permission to use that feedback without restriction or compensation, but we will not publicly identify you as its source without permission.

9.

Third-party services

The services may rely on, interact with, or link to third-party services. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for third-party services, content, availability, security, or actions that we do not control.

10.

Suspension and termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when we reasonably believe:

  • These Terms or applicable law have been violated.
  • An account, verification pass, or service is being used without authorization.
  • Use creates a material legal, security, safety, privacy, or fraud risk.
  • Action is necessary to protect the services, users, customers, partners, or others.
  • We are required to act by law or valid legal process.

You may stop using the services at any time. Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective, including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, disputes, and general terms.

11.

Warranty disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all express and implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, and security.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, guarantee, or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Armoreal and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, or anticipated savings.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services will not exceed the greater of:

  • The amount you paid directly to Armoreal for the applicable service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
  • $100 USD.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

13.

Indemnification

If you use the services on behalf of an organization, then, to the extent permitted by law, that organization will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Armoreal and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and reasonable costs arising from:

  • Its unlawful or unauthorized use of the services.
  • Its violation of these Terms or applicable law.
  • Content it submits without the necessary rights, notices, permissions, or authorizations.
  • Its violation of another person's rights.
14.

Separate agreements

A separate written agreement may apply to enterprise services, pilots, partnerships, subscriptions, integrations, API access, confidentiality, data processing, service levels, or other specific uses. If a separate written agreement conflicts with these Terms, the separate agreement controls for the services it covers.

15.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Any dispute not governed by a separate written agreement may be brought in a state or federal court of competent jurisdiction in California, and each party consents to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable consumer-protection law.

16.

General terms

  • These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any applicable separate written agreement form the agreement governing your use of the services.
  • If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum permissible extent and the remaining provisions will stay in effect.
  • Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
  • You may not transfer these Terms without our written permission. We may transfer them in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, or sale of assets.
  • Section titles are provided for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
17.

We may update these Terms as the services, practices, or legal obligations change. We will post updated Terms on this page and revise the date above.
